Attach copy of NIC of the student or Form B so that date of birth could be recorded in the Equivalence Certificate.
Attach one color photograph (passport size) of applicant.
For depositing the fee, Challan Forms are available with the Window staff free of cost. Detail of fee has been given.
Fee deposited for obtaining Equivalence Certificate/letter is non refundable.
On depositing ordinary fee, Equivalence Certificate (on fulfillment of all requirements of Rules of IBCC) is generally issued after 10 days. In case some requirements are to be fulfilled yet, letter intimating deficiency(s) is issued to the applicant. For issuance of Proper Equivalence Certificate from Provisional Equivalence Certificate there is no fee if issued in 10 days if required on urgent basis then double fee will be deposited.
On depositing urgent fee (which is double), Equivalence Certificate is issued after 3 working days after the day of deposit subject to fulfillment of all requirements of Rules of IBCC. In case any requirement(s) is to be met yet, letter to this effect is issued to the applicant.
Attach photocopy of the passport including visa portion (exit + entry) in case student has completed his/her education in a foreign country.
In case of qualifications from USA and Canada, Official Transcripts in original duly signed by the Principal and embossed by the School in a sealed envelop addressed to IBCC is required. This envelop will be opened by an officer or official of IBCC and signatures will be put both on the transcript and the envelop.
In case certificate/documents are in languages other than English and Urdu, student/applicant is required to get it translated either from National University of Modern Languages, H-9, Islamabad, or respective Embassy. Translation from other organizations is not acceptable.
Proper Equivalence Certificate is issued to students holding qualifications of India, Nepal, occupied Kashmir, USA, Canada, Russia, States of Russian Federation and Afghanistan etc. after verification of certificate and transcript etc from the respective authorities.
In case of holding O levels certificates from a school based outside Pakistan, minimum academic 5 subjects (including English) are necessary to obtain Equivalence Certificate of SSC level.
In case of holding O levels certificates(issued up to 2005) from a school based in Pakistan minimum seven academic subjects (English, Urdu, Pakistan Studies, Islamiat as compulsory subjects and any other three subjects as per Scheme of Studies approved by the Curriculum Wing, Ministry of Education, IBCC or Equivalence Committee) and eight subjects(English, Urdu, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, Islamiat and any other three subjects as per SSC Scheme of Studies approved Curriculum Wing, Ministry of Education, IBCC or Equivalence Committee) from the academic year 2006 will be required to obtain an Equivalence Certificate of SSC level.
For further details students/applicants may visit respective Window staff who will provide every possible help to the applicant (s).
In case of Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) from any Board of Technical Education in Pakistan, original diploma and marks sheet of 3 years must be provided.
In case of foreign national a letter from concerned embassy and Economic Affairs Division (EAD) Islamabad, shall be provided.
In case of educational qualification from PAF, Navy and Army, Equivalence Certificate is issued after verification.
Attach original 'O' level certificate for obtaining 'A' level equivalence certificate.
In case of Occupied Kashmir a letter from APHC and EAD (in case of admission in Professional College/University) is to be provided.
In case of USA and Canada following documents/credentials are required by IBCC for issuance of Equivalence Certificate:-
Grade-9 thru 12 Official Transcript duly sealed, signed and embossed by the issuing authority, USA (by the Ministry of Education, Canada) and enclosed in an envelope to be opened by an officer or official of IBCC. Grade-9,10,11 and 12 Subjects should be recorded separately.
Graduation requirements (total earned credits and total required credits for Graduation High School Diploma).
School Profile
Explanation of abbreviation of the subjects and codes which are used in the student's transcript.
In case of Canada, According to Scheme of Studies of Pakistan, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics as elective subjects must be passed at Grade-11 as well as at Grade-12 for issuance Equivalence Certificate (Pre-Med or Pre-Eng).
In case of early graduation please provide proof from concerned institution/issuing authority.
Case will also be referred to concerned authority for verification/clarification of the documents furnished to IBCC.
